First off let me start by saying I have been dying to get to this restaurant for so long now. And I FINALLY got my chance this past weekend.
Cafe Sbisa is located in the French Quarter on Decatur. It has two levels in which to dine. We were sat on the main level in a great people watching position. From the time we walked in the door we were welcomed in and sat immediately.
They started us off with drinks and some delicious simple garlic bread. I started off with the Turtle Soup. The Turtle Soup was top notch! There was a good amount of turtle meat, diced eggs (which I love) and plenty of seasonings with just the perfect amount of sherry on top!
For our meal we had the BBQ Shrimp, Pasta Jambalaya and the Trout Eugene. All of which were delicious. The Trout Eugene was full of flavor and was topped with shrimp and crab fingers, and crawfish. The sauce was impeccable. So many layers of flavors in one dish. The BBQ Shrimp was so good it made you get down and dirty with it. The Pasta Jambalaya was really good as well. The different meats and the light sauce was just right.
The service was on point. Our server was there for everything we needed. He was rather funny too. I can’t wait to get back there’s so much more I have to try. Run…don’t walk to Cafe Sbisa.
